Cleaning procedure

To avoid excessive suds, pour cleaner into water rather than adding the water to the cleaner. Apply solution to the floor with either a nylon deck brush or clean rayon mop. Do not use cotton mops.

  1. Scrub the floor for four to five minutes using a single or double brush, or low RPM floor scrubber (under 300 rpm).
  2. Wet vacuum or mop up the solution.
  3. Rinse with cold water and vacuum up all rinse water. When floor scrubber is used, usually rinse once will remove the soiled solution. If use the mop, a second rinsing may be necessary, especially if a floor finish is going to be applied.
  4. Please perform the following procedures when you clean the floor with a floor scrubber and vacuum machine:
  • Mix solutions as described above.
  • Make sure the brushes are correct.
  • Apply solution on the floor with brushes in rotate method.
  • Thoroughly scrub the floor with a floor scrubber.
  • Rinse the floor. When rinsing, clear water should be applied to the floor with the brushes and vacuum working in one action.

For some small areas or in situations where an automatic floor scrubber cannot be used, a nylon deck brush can be used to scrub the floor.

Mopping without a brushing action can result in the buildup of material and cleaner residue, giving the surface a dull appearance. It is important that the rubber flooring be buffed when perfectly cleaned.

Archwell rubber flooring products do not have to be waxed, however wax can achieve an easy clean amp maintenance. If customer desire to use a wax/floor finish to obtain a very high gloss and to facilitate daily maintenance, it is very important that all cleaner residue be removed and it may be necessary to double rinse before applying the floor finish.

Floor finish should be lasted for a long period from six months to one year. It is recommed that when the finish starts to wear, the finish should be stripped from the floor. Use the appropriate rubber floor cleaner, and clean as instructed above. After the floor is rinsed and dried, apply the floor finish according to the instruction on its label.

Be sure that the old finish has been removed prior to applying a new coat of finish.
